America One Racing 2023 Holiday Message

Happy Holidays!

As this year comes to a close, we want to thank our donors who passionately believe in American sailing talent, our staff and volunteers, and our dedicated athletes.  Together, we have achieved a lot.

In 2023, America One significantly increased its support of American sailing athletes and coaches, both developmental and the USA’s best. The themes of “squad training”, “culture of excellence” and building a “domestic platform” have guided our work. In the past 9 months, America One contributed $1.5M in the form of; $360K in direct financial support, 648 days of on the water coaching, physical fitness guidance, funding for the Marseille weather study, physical therapists at various events, performance planning for 22 athletes and supported 45 events; camps, clinics, domestic regattas, and World Championships.

We are weeks away from the first domestic Olympic trials in a decade. This is exciting and inspiring for those who believe in the path to the podium.  To support this, America One has issued a Special Trials Grant to 30 athletes, in the amount of $81,000, for costs incurred in competing at the Olympic Trials.

For 20 years, America One has passionately supported USA’s sailor athletes.  We look forward to continuing this work alongside Quantum Racing, American Magic, St. Francis Sailing Foundation, Sailing Foundation of New York, Oakcliff Sailing, Windmark, US Sailing, the many yacht clubs, junior programs, foundations, and class associations, all of whom give generously to support America’s talented and dedicated sailing athletes.

Happy Holidays and best wishes to all for a successful 2024!

About America One Racing

America One has been supporting US Sailing since 2004. In the early days it was paying the salary for Dean Brenner as US Olympic Sailing’s first paid Executive Director. Then it was the lease on a shed in Weymouth for US athletes to have a base to store their boats and train from in the lead up to 2012. Next in 2013, AmericaOne commissioned the weather study for RIO.  In 2014, AmericaOne founded Project Pipeline with $5M grant. This allowed US Sailing to dedicate Leandro Spina full time on U19 sailing which produced 21 Youth World’s medals over 7 years, and the “top nation” win in 2018. Project Pipeline alumni are now Olympians with more hopefully to come in 2024. The AmericaOne Foundation is proud to have brought significant support to American Athletes for over 20 years.
