America One Racing Elevates Foiling Talent at St. Francis Yacht Club Camp
San Francisco, CA – August 19, 2025 – America One Racing (A1R) has successfully wrapped its Foiling Pipeline Training Camp (August 12–17) at the prestigious St. Francis Yacht Club, bringing together some of the nation’s most promising young foiling sailors for six days of intensive on-water training, race simulations, and technical development.
This camp marked another step forward in A1R’s mission to raise the bar for U.S. foiling performance, building on a summer of outstanding international results and expanding the domestic platform of elite training opportunities for American sailors.
Athletes trained in challenging San Francisco Bay conditions, honing their speed, technique, and race skills under the guidance of A1R’s world-class coaching staff. The camp featured daily on-water sessions, performance debriefs, and equipment optimization workshops, pushing each sailor to new levels.
A driving force behind this success was A1R’s ongoing collaboration with F4 Sports. In addition to supplying the boards and foils, F4 worked hand-in-hand with our coaches and athletes to further develop what are widely regarded as the best foils in the world—ensuring U.S. sailors are competing and training at the cutting edge of the sport.
“This week in San Francisco was another major step in strengthening our Foiling Pipeline,” said Adrien Gaillard, A1R Foiling Expert Coach and 2022 U.S. Sailing Development Coach of the Year. “The athletes made huge progress—not just in raw speed and handling, but in their ability to adapt and race in one of the most challenging venues in the world.
Our collaboration with F4 Foils is a true game changer: the athletes now have the best foils on the market under their feet, along with the control, knowledge, and skills to fully understand and optimize their equipment. This means they can make precise adjustments, sail with confidence, and perform at the highest level. With the support of F4 Foils and the St. Francis Yacht Club, we’re setting the stage for these sailors to excel on the international circuit.
“Working alongside America One Racing allows us to put our boards and foils in the hands of the best emerging talent in the U.S.,” said Nikola Mihailov, General Manager of F4 Sports, Ltd.. “It’s a win-win—we get valuable feedback from top athletes and coaches, and they get access to the highest-performing equipment on the market. This collaboration is driving both innovation and performance forward.”
“Having the opportunity to work with F4 Foils developing the equipment that I race on is a game changer. It’s an incredible advantage to be part of the design process that allows us to see our ideas come to life and directly impact performance on the course” — JP Latanzi, fresh off a 5th-place finish at the Wingfoil World Cup in Silvaplana and winner of his first Wingfoil National Championship title in San Francisco this summer.
With continued investment in training camps like this, America One Racing is cementing its role in developing the next wave of U.S. foiling champions—providing the environment, coaching, and technology needed to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
