Lessons from Italy — Forward, Together.

America One Racing’s Formula Kite, 49er, and 49erFX teams recently concluded their World Championship campaigns in Cagliari, Italy marking the end of the 2025 racing season in Europe. 

The events highlighted A1R’s key performance focus points for Year 1 of this Olympic quadrennium cycle— from improved execution under pressure to refined boat handling, big-fleet starting, and tactical decision-making. The strength of America One’s process-focused system, the commitment of its coaches and athletes, and the team’s resilience in pursuit of excellence were all on display.

“World-class performance is not a straight line,” said Charlie McKee, America One Racing’s Director of High Performance. “Each event tests not only our skills but also our ability to learn, adapt, and come back stronger. The athletes had some curveballs thrown at them this week, and dealing with adversity is a crucial step forward that helps shape the champions they are becoming.”

With valuable lessons learned in Italy, the team will now enter a substantial training phase, with periodized training blocks focused on specific targeted areas.
