America One Racing Takes Both Titles at WASZP Games on Home Waters
America One Racing closed out the WASZP Games with a defining performance on home waters, securing overall wins in both the Men’s and Women’s divisions and reinforcing the strength of the program across all levels of the pipeline.
In the Women’s fleet, Pearl Lattanzi delivered a strong performance to claim her second consecutive WASZP Games title, adding to her victory at the All Stars event just one week prior. The back-to-back wins reflect a high level of consistency and control across varying conditions and competitive settings.
On the Men’s side, Gavin Ball set the standard for the fleet, securing the overall title with a commanding margin through consistent execution, strong starts, and the ability to control races across conditions.
Behind him, Tommy Sitzmann (4th) showed clear progression, consistently positioning himself within the leading group and demonstrating improved race management and composure in high-pressure situations.
Annie Sitzmann (2nd) and Casey Small (4th) showed clear progression, improving consistency in execution and making more confident, high-quality decisions throughout the event.
“This week was a strong validation of the work the athletes have been putting in over the past year. The focus has been on building repeatable processes—starts, positioning, and decision-making—and we’re seeing that translate into performance across the fleet.” — Anna Tobias
Beyond the results (LINK), the event also served as a key opportunity to identify and evaluate emerging talent within the U.S. foiling pathway. With a strong domestic fleet and a high-quality racing environment, the Games provided clear visibility into the next generation of athletes progressing through the system.
“What stands out is the depth that’s coming through. We’re not just seeing results at the top—we’re seeing a group that is getting stronger, more consistent, and more connected in how they approach racing. That’s what will sustain performance long term.” — Ravi Parent
The scale of U.S. participation at this event also marked an important step forward for the pathway. A strong group of American athletes competed across the fleet, supported on-site by five A1R coaches, creating a high-performance environment that allowed for both execution and real-time development throughout the regatta.
The broader takeaway remains consistent: the systems, processes, and daily execution developed over the past 18 months are producing measurable performance gains.
