Biography

Helena Scutt brings a rare combination of elite sailing performance and technical expertise to Olympic competition. An accomplished athlete across both Olympic and foiling classes, Scutt has demonstrated the ability to succeed at the highest levels of the sport.

Competing with Paris Henken in the 49erFX class, she earned a bronze medal at the 2015 Pan American Games and represented the United States at the 2016 Olympic Games. Beyond Olympic sailing, Scutt captured the Women’s World Championship at the 2022 International Moth Worlds, highlighting her mastery of high-performance foiling boats.

Reunited with Henken for a fresh 49erFX run, Scutt brings technical insight, championship experience, and competitive drive to their renewed Olympic campaign.

Helena embodies what it means to be a complete athlete, pairing world-class racing experience with a thoughtful, analytical mindset. Coming back into the crew role with Paris, there’s a shared sense of purpose and unfinished business. She brings precision, clarity and a relentless competitive drive that elevates everyone around her.
